Jewelry for Working Hands

Thank you so much for being here and checking out my jewelry.  Each one starts out as just a sheet of silver, and a pretty rock.

Every band, backplate, and tiny detail are sketched then hand sawed out. They're meticulously soldered, sanded, filed, etched, and shined.

Every piece is one of a kind, and every aspect is handmade.  Each one is filled with time, love, probably some sweat (don't worry, I clean them), and most definitely a couple swear words, so you know it's good.  Check out my page and pieces, and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Stay Wild Friends!

ABOUT ME

I'm Teslie, metalsmith, wife, & mama.  I live in the most beautiful place in the world, my family's little ranch in the foothills of the Rocky's.

I started smithing after I had my daughter.  I was feeling very lost in the new world of mama-to-two, and started looking for something to help me adjust to this new season of life.

Metalsmithing had always been a dream so I decided to take the chance on myself and go for it. I bought the tools, and started taking every class I could find during naps, and after bedtime.  Shortly after that my jewelry collection was getting a little aggressive and I decided to take the next step and share my jewelry, which led to the creation of Smith Creek Metalworks.

There has been a lot of trial and error (heavy on the error) along the way, and I'm still learning and evolving my craft constantly, but I love every minute of it, and hope you can see that in the pieces I create.

"My hands are never going to be smooth, they are rarely clean.  They have scars, calluses, and freckles.

My hands also hold beautiful babies, and make beautiful things.

They hold the hand of an incredible man, and saddle some great horses.

They've played piano and picked a guitar.

They've sketched pictures, and painted canvases.

They might be a little rough around the edges, but hey, aren't we all?"
